Level 3 Certificate in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools (RQF)

This qualification is for learners who wish to develop the skills and knowledge of the role of a teaching assistant, classroom assistant or support worker in a school environment.

This course comprises of eleven units. There is a requirement to have a placement within a school over the duration of this qualification.

This is a nationally recognised qualification and the requirement to work as a TA in schools.

This qualification is delivered on our online platform with full tutor support. Our courses are designed to be convenient and intuitive and delivered as part of a holistic approach that is supported by our awarding bodies.

A placement within a classroom setting is required for the duration of this qualification.

The Level 3 Certificate is suitable for those working or wishing to work as a support teacher within an educational environment.

Total Qualification Time is comprised of GLH and an estimate of the number of hours a learner is likely to spend in preparation, study or any other learning including assessment, which takes place as directed by, but not under the supervision of a lecturer, supervisor or tutor. The credit value, where given for qualification, is determined by TQT, as one credit corresponds to 10 hours of learning. The TQT for this award is 320 hours and 180 Guided Learning Hours.

Learners should have a minimum of Level 2 in literacy or equivalent.

Learners completing the Certificate are required to have a placement in a classroom setting over the duration of the qualification

Step 5.
Your tutor will then arrange your full induction to discuss your support needs and course study details.

The BBE Training E-Learning portal is a web-based learning platform that we have invested in to give our learners the best possible experience. Fully customised for BBE, its based on the award-winning Moodle software.

Learners can complete and upload or download and complete offline before uploading to their login area. All work is marked and assessed from within the learning platform with allowing tutors and learners to automatically notify each other when a process has been completed. It stores all communication centrally and is the system that allows learners to be able to work on any device by downloading the App.
